Seven new Service Providers join eInfraCentral service catalogue
eInfraCentral warmly welcomes CompBioMed, OpenMinTED, VI-SEEM, PhenoMeNal, BlueBRIDGE, AGINFRA+, WEST-LIFE to the European e-Infrastructure Services Catalogue (eInfraCentral). More than 130 e-services can be discovered and accessed through the catalogue and the offering is growing further.
These seven e-infrastructure providers are joining eInfraCentral following a consultation process with the eInfraCentral team, which determined that their service management level, service descriptions, service representations, and related internal and external processes have reached high maturity.
“We hope that this journey was and will be valuable to all e-services providers and will allow them to increase their user base by making their services discoverable and easier to relate to user needs, to facilitate continuous service improvements, and speed up innovation. Joining eInfraCentral will certainly keep infrastructure service providers at the forefront of delivering the European Commission’s vision of a European Open Science Cloud,” said Alasdair Reid, Project Coordinator of eInfraCentral.
eInfraCentral encourages all providers of e-services (whether operating at European or national levels) to become part of the eInfraCentral community and benefit from access to an extended user base. Since early November 2018, service providers are able to register, upload and modify their services through the REST API methods offered by eInfraCentral, thus making the synchronisation of content between SPs and eInfraCentral an automated process.
If you would like to find out more about the service registration process, do not hesitate to contact the eInfraCentral team.
eInfraCentral is a Coordination and Support Action funded under the EU’s Horizon 2020 framework programme. Its mission is to ensure that by 2020 a broader and more varied set of users benefits from European e-Infrastructures. The project answers researchers’ and service providers’ need for a catalogue and platform where all can browse, search, compare and access various e-services from different scientific domains. eInfraCentral is one of the key initiatives driving the implementation of the European Open Science Cloud.
